Why putting off maintenance is a bad idea that could cost you big $

car analogy.JPG

Maintenance of drywells is no joke. Drywells appear to have a small footprint with only the lid of the structure showing. It is important to remember these are very large structures requiring a 6' wide hole, up to 100' deep, to be drilled in the ground. Heavy equipment and major construction are required for install making the area the drywell is located in non accessible and causing major upset to the landscaping during construction of a replacement drywell.

Repair or replacement needed due to lack of maintenance can cost $15k-$25k or more with additional costs for landscape repair.

The best option is to have a complimentary inspection of your community. You will receive an inspection report that will tell you the condition of each of the drywells in your community helping your community and their board make an educated decision.
